Imagine, for a moment, that everything you were taught about Jesus might be wrong. According to writer and speaker Jan Val Ellam, the true mission of Jesus was never to “save humanity through sacrifice” — that idea came from Paul and was weaponized by the 4th-century Church.

Instead, Jesus came to replace fear and submission with unconditional love — and paid the ultimate price for it.

The Three Faces of Jesus the Church Buried

There were, in fact, three distinct versions in ancient texts:

1. Jesus the Nazarene – the simple Galilean healer described by the apostles. Never spoke of salvation by faith or being God.
2. Jesus Christ – Paul’s invention. Paul never met the living Jesus but created the doctrines of salvation by the cross and justification by faith alone.
3. Jesus the Resurrected – dictated complex teachings to Mary Magdalene and Hellenized disciples. This version produced the most manuscripts — and was systematically destroyed as “apocryphal”.

When Constantine made Christianity Rome’s official religion, the Church chose Paul’s controllable version and burned the rest. The true mission of Jesus — love over domination — vanished.

Why Was Jesus Crucified?

He refused to fulfill the violent Old Testament prophecy. Yahweh demanded a conquering warrior-Messiah. Jesus offered love instead. On Maundy Thursday he begged for a new covenant. Yahweh refused. Crucifixion followed — not as redemption, but as punishment.

Ellam is blunt: “Jesus could have escaped or destroyed Rome. He chose powerlessness to prove love is the way.”

The True Mission of Jesus Was (and Still Is) Liberation

Yahweh, says Ellam, is not the Supreme Creator — just a limited being who feeds on worship. Jesus saw through it and proposed freedom. That’s why:

• He rejected earthly kingship
• He taught love, not fear
• He resurrected only to return the electrons of a body created by artificial insemination

The cross didn’t redeem anyone. It was an act of cosmic cruelty.

Our Role Today

The true mission of Jesus remains unfinished: to grow into conscious, free beings who no longer need external gods. As the Kabbalah says, both Creator and creation need repair — and only evolved humans can do it.

Jesus didn’t come to start a religion. He came to end spiritual childhood.
